Cremare – Unique and personal
Every animal mortician at Cremare has their own story about how they came to be involved in pet burying. We all have one thing in common: the love of animals.
The respectful treatment of a deceased pet that has accompanied its owner for years has been a matter close to our hearts – for more than a quarter of a century. Animals are life companions, best friends, confidants and that usually for a lot of years. For many, the loss feels like that of a close family member or friend.
Creating funeral rituals and preserving memories is a human need. We give pet owners space and time for these important emotions when saying goodbye.
At the side of pet owners since 1996
Cremare was founded more than 25 years ago by a veterinarian in Wesel on the Lower Rhine. He laid the foundation for a respectful approach to the loss of pets. Horsia Horse burial has also been part of Cremare since 2018 and enables owners of horses, ponies and donkeys to say goodbye to their companions respectfully. With our many years of experience and our growing network of locations, you can find us near you.
We are here to advise you during this difficult time and support you with all cremation formalities. Depending on your wishes, we will pick up your deceased pet from your home or from the veterinary practice. You can also take your pet to a Cremare site near you. Please make an appointment in advance. Once we have received your companion, he/ she receives a unique identification number that will accompany him/ her through the entire cremation process. In this way, mix-ups can be excluded.

No matter which type of cremation you choose, every animal is treated with the same respect and the dignified treatment it deserves based on its long-standing loyalty.
We guarantee: Quality, safety and transparency in all processes. That’s why our quality management system was tested and certified by TÜV Rheinland.

Our dedicated and customer-oriented team prepared and achieved the certification in close collaboration with our veterinary quality management officer Ilona Dzielak. Our processes are continuously optimized and tested by TÜV Rheinland.
Success is teamwork
It was an exciting path to ISO 9001 certification. We have developed further, met people who professionally accompanied us on the way to certification and are happy to continue on this path. Thanks to Dr. Margret Prasse and her team from VETWERKSTATT. In addition to our internal audits, this includes annual surveillance audits and recertification from TÜV Rheinland every 3 years.
We are aware of the responsibility of a well-functioning quality management system to continuously optimize our processes and procedures. The satisfaction of our customers, dealing lovingly with the grief situation and fulfilling individual wishes for a dignified farewell to the beloved pet are our top priorities. That’s exactly what makes Cremare very special – and that’s only possible with employees who have their hearts in the right place.
